Two virtual runs in The Outdoor City: Tracks of our Tiers and The Half Nelson

The two runs set up by Seb Waxman and family along with Steel City Striders are offered to local Sheffield runners to run when you like, with whoever you like. But be warned, there are hills, there are rocks and there will very probably be lots of mud.

These are ‘virtual’ races, the idea is you run at a time to suit you, log your time on Strava or similar then submit your result. Info and results etc. will be on the Steel City Striders public FB page.

There are prizes from Hendersons Relish (where Seb works) for age category winners, and our overall winners are the top age % scorers relative to a half marathon.

And if you enjoy yourself out there, do consider a donation to the Christie cancer charity, whose lifesaving research helped Seb recover from cancer 5 years ago.

The routes and more info below:

Tracks of our Tiers — around 12.5 miles of trails around the city’s south western boundary

The Half Nelson — 14.5 mile run home to Sheffield from Baslow, taking in Baslow Edge, White Edge, Longshaw, Burbage, Houndkirk, the Mayfield valley and Ecclesall Woods
